Look at this really pretentious thing I wrote in my journal

“What was the question?

THE FORMATION OF THE HUMAN BEING IS LIKE THE SPORADIC UNEXPECTED WATERCOLOR, THE INK BLOCK TEST OF THE POST PREHISTORIC PERIOD, THE DIAGNOSIS OF WHATEVER CAME FIRST, SO FAR I’VE WALKED TWENTY YEARS AND IT’S ONLY BEEN SINCE 1 AM AND NOW IT’S 1:15 AM. THE SUN HASN’T EVEN COME UP. THE MOON HASN’T EVEN COME. WE’RE IN A SPANISH LIMBO.”

“I GOT FOLLIAGE UP TO MY ASS FROM MOVING IN THE GRASS WITH YOU.”

  1. okay i loved reading that and I found no pretentiousness whatsoever. See Guy in your MFA on Twitter for examples. To me, it read like a frantic answer you blurted out, clinging to anything and everything that was going through your mind. The question, “what was the question?” reminded me of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=778AeYtLH40 where these two friends are trying to remember what they were just talking about. They clearly have no idea, so they are making shit up, forming unlikely connections between disjointed thoughts and branching off of each other’s ideas. It’s so fast paced and random, and I think this process of thought could create some really creative ideas like you have up there!

i want to see a painting called Spanish limbo

also a story about how one would find foliage up their ass from the grass
